For the Love of Succulents

Greetings from the Garden! We had a wonderful weekend picking out a variety of different succulents to grow in the garden. Succulents are wonderful because they don’t require a lot of water (ie: easy to take care of), and come in a variety of shapes, colors, and sizes.

We are working with a glass artist out of California who is in the process of making some pieces for us. Pretty soon here in the store we will be offering some beautiful new centerpieces that will feature these little guys, so be sure to keep checking back for updates on when those pieces arrive!

Topeka Business After Hours

Last night Simply Amish hosted Business After Hours here at the store. Each month, Topeka Chamber of Commerce members get together at different businesses to meet new people and make business contacts. I was there representing Simply Amish and StableHouse 3400, and was impressed with the turnout.  We received a lot of positive feedback about both the furniture and the decor.

If you are a Chamber of Commerce member visiting the site after hearing about StableHouse 3400 last night, welcome and thanks for stopping by!

Check out some footage from the event last night here.Again, big thanks to everyone that came out last night!

Greetings and welcome to!  StableHouse is a brand new retail store located inside Simply Amish of Topeka. We are still in the process of getting setup, but hope to be up and running by the end of May.

StableHouse 3400 will carry handmade (in the USA) Home Decor and Accessories for your home. Together with Simply Amish, we are proud to say that our products at 3400 SW Topeka Boulevard are 100% handmade in the USA. It’s certainly a whole different shopping experience knowing that anything you pick up(barring the larger Simply Amish furniture: solid hardwood can get heavy!) has been made by local craftsmen and artists!

Wondering about the existing art and accessories? Many of you that have been to Simply Amish have shown interest in the existing art and decorations. While they were not handmade in the USA, check back with us soon because we are starting to price the items for sale.  After all, how else will we make room for those new and unique handmade items?

Stay tuned for more information on what exactly we will be carrying.  In the meantime, here’s a sample of just one of the handmade items we will be carrying in our store:

Penguin Book Art! Measuring 30″ x 40″, this would make a beautiful statement piece beside your bed, or even leaned against the wall on top of a bookshelf.
